Located in a 19 th century building which originally served as a Morris Canal locktender’s house, the Lake Hopatcong Historical Museum offers an engaging and informative look at the history of New Jersey’s largest lake.

Landing, A Transportation Mecca @ Lake Hopatcong Station

Landing was once a transportation hub for Lake Hopatcong with the Lackawanna Railroad, Morris County Traction Company, and two different steamboat companies all converging to deliver passengers to their destinations around the popular resort.  Spectacular images of the Lackawanna, Black Line and White Line steamers, and trolley will give you a whole new perspective of this area and explain just how Landing got its name.  Presented by Marty Kane.

CANCELED – Hudson Farm Charity Hike @ Hudson Farm

The hike is free and open to all. Lunch and a souvenir are provided compliments of Hudson Farm. Everyone who completes the hike will receive $1 per year of age that they can donate to the participating local organizations. Those over 65 may substitute the hike for a tour of the grounds and estate house. The farm is located at 270 Sparta-Stanhope Road in Hopatcong. Come on out and enjoy a great day for the lake community!

New Date!! Annual Native Plant Sale @ Lake Hopatcong Station

The Lake Hopatcong Foundation Native Plant Sale has been rescheduled for Saturday, May 23 from 9:00 am – 1:00 pm at the Lake Hopatcong Station, 125 Landing Road, Landing.  There will be an option to order ahead and arrange for pick-up/delivery or to safely browse that day.  This sale will include many varieties of native plants so they should take well to your yard.
