One of America’s greatest stars of the early 20th century, Joe Cook performed mainly in vaudeville and on Broadway. As a result, he is largely unknown today. One hundred years after Cook purchased a house in Davis Cove that would become the legendary “Sleepless Hollow” and sixty-five years after his death, we will explore the talent that caused legendary New York Times critic Brooks Atkinson to write, “next to Leonardo da Vinci, Joe Cook is the most versatile man known to recorded times.”
