One of America’s greatest stars of the early 20th century, Joe Cook did most of performing in Vaudeville and on Broadway. As a result, he is largely unknown today. Sixty-five years after his death we will discover the talent that caused legendary New York Times critic Brooks Atkinson to write, “Next to Leonardo da Vinci, Joe Cook is the most versatile man known to recorded times.” A resident of Lake Hopatcong for most of his stardom, we will see Joe in a host of performances as well as seeing him and his family at their legendary cottage, Sleepless Hollow.
